After seven years of teaching in the Houston, TX area, Evan Doyle is excited to assume directorship of the Westborough High School Band for the 2014-15 school year. A native of Massachusetts, Mr. Doyle is an alumnus of the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he was fortunate to have learned from George Parks, Lynn Klock, Malcolm Rowell, and Lanfranco Marceletti. He also has a graduate degree from Western Carolina University, where his assistantship included working with the "Pride of the Mountains" Marching Band, the Wind Ensemble, and the saxophone studio. Among his mentors at WCU were John West, Bob Buckner and Matt Henley.
Mr. Doyle is also one of the lead clinicians for the George N. Parks Drum Major Academy. Through DMA, he is fortunate to work with hundreds of high school and college students each summer, helping them to develop the conducting, teaching, and leadership skills necessary to serve as leaders of their bands.
Scott McCullough, senior, is our lead drum major, entering his fourth year in the marching band program.
Eamonn Mazur, sophomore, is also a drum major, entering his second year in the marching band program.
